Ur Lab

First Impressions

Ur Lab was originally an online e-commerce store selling custom apparel. I was requested to build a new site for this company so that users would be greeted with an informational homepage (and external pages) rather than a store front. This decision was made because Ur Lab wanted their users to have a better understanding of the brand so that they wouldn't think Ur Lab is just any other custom apparel company.

What I Had To Do

I was tasked with designing and developing a whole new site for the Ur Lab company, that would lead users to their existing store front. With the use of Figma and Webflow, our team created a site that would better represent the company as well as give the users more knowledge as to who they are working with. I was tasked with the development of our design, ensuring all pages are optimal on all screen sizes and the modern refresh is being seen through the site.

“Ur Lab is so much more trusted with a homepage like this.”

Additional Content

An interesting factor in this site's development was the creation of a working product search bar in Webflow, that would take the user to the query on the store front site. To do this, I created a script that would take the user's input from the Webflow homepage, input it into another script that would then open another window showing the product that the user searched for. This was something I had not experienced before on Webflow but Ur Lab and myself was very pleased with the outcome.

Feedback

Overall the Ur Lab site has gained a far better reputation in the custom apparel space, and has seen an increase in store visitors since the new website has been launched. This is one of many projects that I have worked on that has seen immediate benefits with a website makeover.
